Hibachi

After taking the girls furniture shopping Friday night we decided to take them to our favorite Hibachi. It was London's first time. We had taken Armani there ever since she was little but since London was born, we hadn't been back other for take-out. Our chef was great. He tried not to scare the girls, although Armani was very shy acting. She sat there with her head down the whole time, only looking up to see what he was doing. I held London during the majority of the cooking. She did great! Unfortunately for Armani, there was nothing she would eat. We did order her a little "ninja" meal, but she refused to touch it. The only time she touched anything on her plate was when she decided to dump the dipping sauce all over herself. :( Next time we will bring her Wendy's.

Only ME!

To my surprise I woke up yesterday, pulled back the blinds and there it was. I have a port-a-potty directly behind my back deck. I couldn't believe construction had put it right there. Is this what it means to truly live in WV? I know I am probably the envy of the neighborhood, but I would much rather keep my buckeye status and them move it 5 feet to the left.

It was such a nice day yesterday. I ended up taking the girls a walk. London fell asleep and Armani pointed out every squirrel she could spot. I had a dermatologist appointment yesterday. I ended up getting a chemical peel. I guess I have "abnormal skin cells on my arm and the bridge of my nose. The chemical peel will help get rid of these cells and allow new normal ones grow. I love chemical peels anyways so I was happy when the dermatologist recommended it! I used to get them and facials all the time before kids. I also elected to get some Botox to be proactive with aging. Since I quit tanning when a long time ago, I have been super careful about preventing wrinkles and lines. Even though I elected for Botox, I am unable to get it until the 13 of April. I guess they need 3 patients that want it, since a vile of it only lasts 2 weeks. Imagine that, 3 people in WV wanting Botox. :) Once I got home, Eric, I and the girls went out to eat then took a ride to end a beautiful day and to try to spot a house for rent with a yard for the remainder of our time in Morgantown. I took a picture of our landlord's new house. From the picture you can see the massive 3 car garage. The house is huge and sits on the lake. No matter how beautiful his house is, I am sure he doesn't have a port-a-potty in his backyard! haha London had a great time on the ride. She gets so excited when she is riding in the car and hears music.

Today I took both of the girls shopping in hopes I could find some clothes. After being pregnant for 2 years, I need a whole new wardrobe. Shopping with them is a challenge. They really don't have the patience for me to look so of course I got nothing for myself. I did manage to pick up some super cute clothes at the GAP for Armani. They were having a huge sell! We were in the line paying for everything. The cashier was super slow so there was at least 6 people in the line behind me. Of course my kids kept everyone entertained. When we left, Armani yelled out, BYE BYE! and waved. Everyone was waving and telling them goodbye. :)

Happy St. Patty's day!

Many years ago, I would of celebrated this day with some green beer and possibly an irish car bomb. Today I took the kids to the mall which ended up in a shoe frenzy. I was about 7 cars deep in the drive-thru at Burger King. Armani was restless so I rolled her window down to keep her attention away from the long wait. We got home and when I went to take her out of the car, I realized she had no shoes on. They were no where in the car. The only thing I could come up with, she must of took them off and threw them out the window . Before I had children, I would be driving and would see children's shoes on the road. Now I know how they got there.

When Eric got home, we took the girls to a children's shoe store. I have never seen a child like Armani have such a good time in a shoe store. She got her foot measured and then she was taking the measuring tool to other children in the store wanting to measure their feet. We took London and her to the mall to further the hunt for shoes. After, we let her play in the play area at the mall. She is usually a socialite, but tonight she showed a little bit of shyness. There were two men in area with their children. If they looked at Armani, she would instantly lay on the floor and turn her head. hmmm.... I have no idea where that came from. It was cute though!

On my first trip home, I got the opportunity to arrange a last minute meeting with my cousins son's Noah and Isaac that are twins and are three years old for Armani and London to meet. I was super excited for Armani to finally have little kids to play with. With living in Morgantown, Eric and I don't know anyone, especially anyone with kids. Armani's only outlet to kids is the play area in the mall. When she first saw the twins she fell in love. She was wanting to hug them and tried chasing them all over my aunt Greta's house. It was new for everyone but she had such a good time! Makes me realize what a house of 4 kids would be like!

My first trip home!

Last Tuesday, March 9, 2010, I got my first opportunity to go home with the girls by myself. Eric had elected to go skiing with people from work and since the weather was beautiful, and London was of age, I took advantage of it. I wasn't sure which day I was going to arrive, but I ended up there on Tuesday. When we arrived at Dad's it was 60 degrees and sunny. After getting the girls out of the car, diapers changed, and fed, my dad and I took London and Armani on their first rhino ride. Armani sat on my dad's lap, "Papal" and London sat on mine. We first stopped by my grandmother's house then a few neighbors. London really enjoyed it! Armani was quiet. Even though I think she enjoyed it, I think she was a little afraid at the same time. She was really scared to pull back in the garage.

The weather had finally cleared up in the past few weeks and we were anxious to get out. We decided on a Sunday afternoon to take the girls to Cabellas in Wheeling, WV. Armani really enjoyed the fish tanks. She would point to the fish and say "ish". She really loved the water crick bed's inside of the store. I think she inherited the "rapids" fever from Eric. I can honestly see her being a whitewater guide one day. London just enjoyed getting out. After our adventure in the store we ate at Quaker State Wings. It was our surprise that there was actually one right there. Eric had been dying to go to one since we moved from Columbus years ago, but have never located to one. Armani loved the fact that the french fries came in a cardboard car. She really loved that!
